pull down to refresh

Been watching The Devil’s Plan Season 2 and am quite impressed with how cordial the contestants are towards one another. Despite it being a cut-throat game, everyone was beaming warmly and cheering one another on, shouting Hwaiting (Fight on!) and clapping quite energetically.
Of course, much of this gracious sportsmanship could have been attributed to the fact that they were filming a game show and were conscious of the need to preserve their image. Still, I believe that they were culturally conditioned not to reveal their jubilation too outwardly because living in a Confucian-influenced society has primed them to preserve the harmony. Anyway, seeing everyone supporting one another earnestly has warmed the cockles of my heart.
How about you? Are you a good loser?

Depends on the game/sport.
But generally yes. Dark Souls has taught me humility and that no one gets better by being a whiny lil bitch.

It takes a real loser to be good at it. :)

No. My son tells me I am sore winner and a sore loser. I tell him, at least I am consistent.

I try to be.
Check out a UFC fighter named Robert Whittaker. Whenever he loses he always has a few words to say. Shows great sportsmanship IMO. Not many UFC fighters will say anything after a loss.

What does it mean to be a good lover?

It depends on the environment... for example, if we're playing cards with friends and you win, there's no problem with it...but if you take a bet, I have a hard time with it :)

I used to be an incredibly sore loser especially if it came down to luck
I'm a lot more mellow now

Are you a good loser?
A fairly complex situation, but I think yes, today thanks to my experiences and the little lived. I can fully affirm that I have reached sufficient maturity to understand and know when to assume a loss or a defeat, and I also know that a loss or defeat are not the end.
Anyway, seeing everyone supporting one another earnestly has warmed the cockles of my heart.
It is always very emotional to see another help or encourage vibrant energy. However, in this case as you do to be emotional, if you know it is a simulated environment?

In zero sum games, yes. In positive sum games, I'm generally not, because it tends to mean something has gone wrong.
