In Cameroon, we use the euro a lot. It's like the second, unofficial, currency. Everyone wants them.
I visited Cape Verde a few years ago, the usage of the euro is even more prevalent there, due to tourism. The exchange rate of 1:100 makes it very easy to use, no mental gymnastics...
This seems to be a trend in Africa in general, where Western currencies tend to be used as a SoV, i suspect the ban will only create a black market for USD, and EUR...
