I think Hamas is seeing the walls rapidly close in with the Israeli military moving back into the strip and the US standing behind them. It would make sense that they are now going to say hey look we dont have any American citizens anymore you should hold back Israel but that isnt going to happen. Hamas really did FAFO big time and with Iran in a pickle with losing Syria and by extension unable to support Hezbollah like they used to Hamas realizes its in deep deep trouble now.
