The import tariff on cell phones will be reduced from 16% to 0%. Taxes on video game consoles, such as PlayStation and Xbox, will fall from 35% to 20%. There will also be a reduction in the internal tax on imported cell phones, TVs and air conditioners, which will fall from 19% to 9.5%.

The government expects a drop of up to 30% in the prices of these products in the coming months.
