Data-center company Core Scientific Inc.'s Bitcoin-mining activities infringe cryptography patents originally obtained by Blackberry Ltd., Malikie Innovations Ltd. alleged in a lawsuit.

Core Scientific has engaged in Bitcoin mining since emerging from bankruptcy in January 2024, Ireland-based Malikie and its trust beneficiary Key Patent Innovations Ltd. said in a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
