I think we project onto people the values we hope they will hold. Peterson is not a conservative let alone an anarchist. He's a neo-liberal or maybe a classical liberal at best. He comes from the left really. He's come a long way but still believes in the system far more than many of his fans.

I think he's very susceptible to the conservative lens of civilization vs barbarism, though. When it comes to Israel/Palestine, that seems to be what he's falling for.

For sure. I really tire of both sides when they act like it is so clear who is in the wrong. Its easy to be wrong on this topic especially when you are in a bubble. Its a complex issue with a lot bad actors on both sides.
I think the government is in the wrong here but I get why that's not clear to most people that support Israel.
