Your connection to stacker.news is encrypted using a modern cipher suite. However, this page includes other resources that are not secure. These resources can be seen by others in transit and modified by a malicious user to change the behavior of the page.
I don't think this is because of the browser. As I told you in this github security advisory, which is not yet reviewed, SN uses HTTP elements in many of its pages.
I think he should check the Chrome DevTools console for any logs that might explain why.
