I think it's pretty common in bitcoiners from elsewhere. Maybe the difference is that they aren't self-described libertarians quite as often.

I think it's pretty common in bitcoiners from elsewhere. Maybe the difference is that they aren't self-described libertarians quite as often.
I've always found some cognitive dissonance present in US bitcoiners. They can claim to be most libertarian, free markets, anti state bitcoiners but the national pride never goes away. Recent Trump election and subsequent events around strategic reserve are a great example of this behaviour. I don't find this present (at least not to anywhere comparable extent) in bitcoiners from other countries.
It just seems that Americans always bleed national pride first, anything else second and that completely clouds everything
