Kirk Goldsberry recently plotted NBA MVP winners by nationality, highlighting a notable trend: with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Canada winning this year, international players have now claimed the award for seven consecutive seasons. 

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander received 71 out of 100 first-place votes from a global panel, surpassing Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić, who garnered the remaining 29 first-place votes.
