pull down to refresh

This is in response to the farewell speech I had to give in front of the school.
I delivered my speech today. I concentrated my emotional firepower on my form class and Co-Form Teacher. I sang snippets of two songs.
It must have been effective. My students unanimously clapped twice, and my Co-Form Teacher teared.
The thing is, after getting my emotions all hyped up and discharged, I felt like my spirit was floating in mid-air. I kept listening to emotional songs on YouTube and couldn’t really settle down to doing work.
I had to sit with these intense emotions for a bit before they slowly dissipated and I regained the mood to do work. Took about an hour, I reckon.
Maybe it’s because my MBTI profile is ENFP. I definitely lean towards the feeling side of things.
How about you? Are you the sort who can compartmentalise things and not let your emotions rule your day?
Wow, what a powerful experience! Honestly, I think I'm a mix, but probably lean more toward the thinker side. I tend to process things logically first, but sometimes emotions sneak up on me when I least expect it—especially during meaningful moments like the one you described.
I totally get that “floating” feeling after an emotional high. It’s like your mind and heart need time to recalibrate. Honestly, moments like those remind us we’re fully alive.
And hey… being an ENFP explains a lot — all that energy, passion, and fire. The world needs more people like that.

Thanks!
What’s your MBTI profile?

the human condition is slavery due to a brain imbalance - people are stuck either in left-brain or right-brain dominant thinking patterns; holistic ("whole"-istic) thought is hard to teach and requires discipline - if someone has never engaged their right brain and spent their whole life doing logical tasks, it's going to be extremely hard at first

I think I am more of a thinker. I'm quite good at compartmentalizing some things, but then other times, i will think about something like private equity and Toys'R'us #979856 and I will wind myself up and get outraged

There is a test you can do to learn about yourself. You have to fast answer questions like: Sun 1.see 2.feel
This is a good example for what your brain is more connected to. Do you associate sun with light and seeing, or with the feeling of the sun on your skin?

I think both are important for an intelligent human beings. As having rational or logical minds can drives one towards being more productive and goal oriented, where as feelings empathy or human emotions are also important part for us to make a great connection and bonding towards higher self and fellow beings.

More the former than the latter. I (re)act more often on intuition than careful thought. The thinking usually comes after, and helps me correct course, when necessary.
