USA is fucked without trade with China and Europe.

The reason Europe and China and almost all productive economies have trade surpluses with USA is because USA has enjoyed exorbitant privilege for decades paying for imports with printed fiat dollars, living beyond its means, growing more and more fat, lazy, entitled and corrupt, giving tax cuts to wealthy political patrons and getting into ever deeper debt.

The USA faces insolvency and Trump knows it- his bullying and threats have been shown to be hollow and his bluff has been called too many times for anyone to take him seriously anymore.
