the lack of new IP is one component of the whole picture, new IP or at least new etnries in established franchises has been the norm since gaming began.
at least gta 6 will be out soon - 5 years after the launch of the ps5.
i should also say, this issue is more of a console issue, if you're on PC it's a different story

New IP doesn't need to be exclusive, like GTA 6 isn't. Make a great game, and sell it wherever people will buy it rather than limiting it to just one place to try to drive hardware sales.

i didnt say it had to be exclusive, that being said , Nintendo would be toast without its IP.
in 5 years and a price hike, i expect more than a ps4 game with better loading times tho
