Following Valve's announcement #987483 of SteamOS for other handhelds, we finally have the first handheld that officially sells with SteamOS.
And it is dramatically better than the Windows 11 version:
And it costs 130 dollars less lol! (although, the crippled storage and RAM is obviously because of M$ contracts)
Many, many years ago I was quite a big fan of SteamOS, the Debian version. Now it's based on Arch Linux, coupled with Proton, their own Wine implementation for porting Windows games on Linux.
I have to thank someone at Valve because If it wasn't for Proton (and Wine), we wouldn't have had Windows games on Linux, this fast at least.
Honestly this just means more Linux users, less Microsoft's dominance. And I'm here for it.
