Today I want to share a set of portrait photographs that I took for a girl in my studio. She wanted some photos for her birthday but didn't want the typical photos with balloons or cake. She brought 3 different outfits for her photo session, and this are the photos we did with one of the outfits.
I started by taking a full-body photo to build confidence:
After seeing the first photo, the girl told me she didn't like full-body photos, that I should take them a little closer, and for that reason, all the following photos are medium shots.
And then a little closer:
The girl, although she is not a model, knew some poses and had a lot of self-confidence, so she always made slight variations in her poses.
For all the photos, I used my Canon R8 camera and a 50mm f/2.8 lens. For the light, I used a Speedlite flash with a 50 cm octabox at 45 degrees from the girl.
And then I put the photo pose cube on the set to have variety in the photos. The girl did an incredible job with her poses:
And this was one of my favorite photos:
Then we took some photos with the girl sitting on the floor, of those we took, I'm only sharing my favorite one:
Both the girl and I were satisfied and happy with the results we achieved together. I hope you like the photos as much as we did, and thanks for watching!
