Bitcoin Calendar migrated to SQLite database and enabled API queries
  • Bitcoin Calendar migrated to SQLite databse, which greatly improves efficiency and allows to query events by tag, date, range, and so on.
  • The project also now supports API calls (for inter-app communications for now), external API calls will become available in Q3.
Next step – setting up own web archive to ensure no Bitcoin historical reference is ever lost.
When a file.ics or link to import the calendar? maybe with links to the website and get more details about the event/date?

I’m doing lots of things in parallel, so ics exports are planned for around Q3.
At the moment even the English events database is not fully populated.

Have you all thought about applying for a grant?
reply
I have. I can’t get myself together and write a letter - there’s always something I want to “polish” 😅.
But now I feel like the project is in a decent place to have something to show, so I’ll do it soon.
Any advice you can give?

I've never done it myself, but I think the project is getting to the point, especially if you're providing an API, that it provides a lot of value to bitcoiners generally.

I’m starting to feel that too.
Thanks for confirming, will do 🫡
