I totally support this, great idea.
For those without time to read:
- Keep the regular Bitcoin symbol
- Repurpose it to represent 100 Sats (very unlikely to be confused when pricing things)
- A bitcoin is a million bits
- When pricing in bitcoin, use 8 decimal places
- When pricing in bits, use 2 decimal places
- Three and a quarter bitcoins becomes ₿3.25000000 or ₿3,250,000.00
- Three thousand two hundred and fifty sats becomes ₿0.00003250 or ₿32.50
It's beautiful how the thousand separator lines up with the BTC multiple!
Let's get behind it.. Way more intuitive for noobs.
