How’d I do and how can I improve my communication on Bitcoin topics for normies?
Lost opportunity to distinguish bitcoin from everything else. You touched on it, I get that it wasn't the purpose of the interview, but consider being v explicit on that point. That would be a great service to normies.
Good interview, though.

i think you did well... i watched the video 3 or 4 times in total...
you did well to respond to her & cover some important points, but she definitely led you around the ring a bit.
if i only had one recommendation, i'd say these two have a really good ability to handle these conversations gracefully, and your rhetoric could be strengthened by stealing some of their memes.
price
i wish you wouldn't lead with "it's over 100k", and would instead have said something like "as bitcoin appreciates against all currencies, it will be desired by more and more people, criminals included. and for that reason, it's incredibly important that people are not prevented from acquiring bitcoin safely and securely"
kyc
looks like there was an edit... between her question about anonymity and your response.
you correctly point out the KYC risk, but i think it could be improved by mentioning the CENTRALIZED nature of KYC.
the centralization is a big part of the problem (not merely the identification, which people will presumably find to be less of a bother). KYC vendors and businesses required to implement it have got more attack surface, because of the added complexity.
i think you could also hammer on the point: once data is leaked, it's leaked forever, and becomes aggregated... leading to further problems down the road.
bitcoin vs. the rest
notice that she asks about businesses involved in crypto companies and directs her commentary towards these other businesses seeking access to power
in my opinion, the best way out of this morass is where you headed... "bitcoin has no board"
it could be dialed in: "it has no boardroom, and it's stakeholders are the worldwide user base. as it continues to be understood up by individuals, businesses, multi-nationals, governments and the rest, questions of impropriety and imbalance in access to governance will diminish due to the nature of [a strictly enforced monetary policy*]." *- phrase that however you want... there are better examples of the right way to put that
this would have neutered her complaint that she can't talk about bitcoin because everybody has a stake.
listen for her laugh tell as she interrupts you... "i should say heheheheheh that you're with the bitcoin policy institue" she knows what she's doing, you've gotta learn how to do it back.
re: the rest
i'd say, come up with a punchy retort (ask @bitstein ?) when they start in on tokens...
"look, i'm with the Bitcoin Policy Institute, this should be taken seriously. if i were interested in being scammed or having opinions about how to win against the house in the shitcoin casino, i wouldn't be on your show. bitcoin is durable, deliberate, and has a low-time preference.... <on to your next talking point about>"
... this is obviously a bit sharp, but i think you can
language choice
you mention "ideology" of the various tokens. you could have mentioned "philosophy" of bitcoin ... specifically, it's strict monetary policy & consensus mechanism.
bonus points
when she says "thank you for your time"
you can say: "you're welcome, i hope your viewers will check out our [BPI's smallest URL]"

strategies you might use to iterate
- get the transcript & ask some AI to identify "passive language"
questions i have
- how do you think you did?
- what kind of preparation did you have?
