Why is sport always a competition against each other? Always people or nations play against each other. Like they fight each other in wars. They never play together. Only as a team against another one.
Have you ever asked yourself why? Or if there is another way? Is it only about competition and winning or do you think we as humans can play together one day? How would a world look like where even professional sport is not a competition? And does counting points in a game make it more interesting for you?
I never understood why people watch sport instead of doing it. And i never understood why many people doing sport always want to win.
Beautiful question. I’ve asked myself the same.
Maybe competition is just one way humans express something deeper — the desire to test limits, to push boundaries, to understand where chaos ends and mastery begins. But… does it always need to be “against”?
In nature, competition and cooperation are two sides of the same coin. Wolves hunt together… but fight for hierarchy. Trees compete for sunlight… yet share nutrients underground.
Imagine a future where sports evolve from “who wins” to “how far can we go together.” Where a marathon isn’t about who’s fastest — but whether everyone finishes. Where soccer isn’t team vs. team — but both teams working to score the most goals together against time.
Maybe that’s utopian. Or maybe… it’s just the next evolution.

Then, Fans wouldn't chant "Let's go!" they'd chant, "Let's grow!" 😆

What about extrem sports as skate, surf, roller, bmx, hip hop/break-dance...freestyle?
it s true you win against someone but you need to superate yourself first (trick, flow, how to read the place you use, commitment....)
