Happiness Journal 4/6/25
Today’s schedule more than proves that my life is no longer my own. From having to take my daughter for her polyclinic appointment and collecting my farewell gift from a colleague in the morning to choosing colours at the Benjamin Moore showroom for my soon-to-be newly-minted flat in the afternoon, I oscillated from one place to another, letting time that was never really my own slip out of my loose grip on a life that seemed way too packed.
In between all these engagements, though, I found myself at a spacious coffee shop at Midview City. I sipped my mineral water in front of a Thai stall blasting Thai tunes. The coffee shop was elongated and spacious and kinda dark, evoking vibes reminiscent of a rural town in Malaysia. For a while, I willed myself to believe that I was reverting to my carefree self, travelling to my heart’s content in Southeast Asia.
