They just stopped paying for those territories so they got archived. We even made NSFW labels and settings for them. It was just too early I think.
Really?
I mean.... there's not even a single one anymore. I assumed it was a coordinated effort to take them down.
But I shouldn't assume. Crazy coincidence, though.
I’m telling the truth, but if you want to believe I’m a liar, I won’t stop you.
Woah. Never called you a liar. I didn't pay attention to who it is I was replaying to in this conversation. I've barely been here long enough to register that you're part of the SN team. I'm just a pleb, honest!
Woah. Never called you a liar.
Starting a topic by jumping to conclusions like this is usually not a good idea:
which implies a centralized, single decision maker censored them on SN??
I wanted to reply to this, but I didn't because my words would have been a lot less nice.
My bad, I recall you being here a long time. I just thought you knew.
So, it's about 50k Sats per month to create a territory?
I don't advocate illegal activity. But, if I were to create a territory with incredibly illegal content.... what would happen?
Where are the servers hosted?
Even Nostr is controlled by individual relay runners. But SN is more centralized. Who decides what content is allowed?
(It's late and I'm a few drinks in. Just trying to learn)
We have a ToS. We remove illegal content. Otherwise, all content is allowed.
But what does "illegal" mean? Which fiat jurisdiction are you simping to?
edit: sorry. This is inappropriate for surface level conversation. Let's end it here. I'm curious for my own education. But I've gone to far. Sorry.
Maybe there is a ToS for regular stackers and a ToS for territory owners? Can’t say, I’m not a territory owner.

There used to be NSFW territories n'such. They seemed to all go away as quickly as they came..... which implies a centralized, single decision maker censored them on SN??
I've always been baffled by the paradox of people who fight hard for decentralized media and small government, but then fight just as hard for censorship and government regulations against things they don't approve of.
