Huge blow for the D Backs..... Huge investment to lose in the first season... at least Baltimore fans can be happy that this loss wasnt nearly as bad as it could have been if they resigned him for this type of money
Burnes, 30, is in the first season of a 6-year, $210 million contract with Arizona. He went 3-2 with a 2.66 ERA in 11 starts.

I still have Webb who has been great but I dropped Alcantara after he had a miserable start to the season and I have a few other guys on the IL. I got Strider from you in our trade but he hasn’t worked his way back to form yet. When I accepted the trade I thought it’s ok because I have other guys like Burnes, Webb, Eovaldi to carry the load for my rotation but now Burnes and Eovaldi are both out so I have to hope Strider starts pitching better soon.
