I'm back with a new set of photos from my street photography project! My dynamic involves approaching strangers, asking if I can take a couple of photos of them, and now, at the end of our interaction, I also ask them, "What makes you happy?"
This time, I want to share photos of a man who caught my attention because he was well dressed in a somewhat formal way, and I knew I could get some good shots of him. His oufit gave me "businessman" vibes, so I wanted to take a couple of photos of him with his phone, as if he were a bit busy:
As if he were on a very important call:
For all these photos, I used my CANON RP camera with a 50mm f/2 lens to create a nice bokeh in the background, using only natural light.
Next, I told him he could grab his belt with one hand with that pose, I aimed to convey masculinity:
For the following photo, I asked him to sit on a nearby ledge so I could get a shot there:
And finally, I always like to include at least one close up portrait of the person's face:
To finish, I asked the young man what makes him happy, and his answer was:
"What makes me happy is helping other people. I'm a teacher, and I like it when my teachings improve someone's future."
Honestly, there's no wrong answer to that question, and that's precisely what I like about it. Everyone responds differently, and their answers always evoke positive things!
