good job guys! Are you on NWC discord?
Previous Carbon X1 gen 6 user here.
I was looking for a refurbished Thinkpad for up to $700 a month ago, eventually I settled with T14s as it's apparently more solid with similar spec and cheaper than Carbon ultrabooks.
Satisfied so far!
Hey @anon would you come over to Alby Community Call (this thursday) to explain it a bit? Appreciate!
I moved there this year, so will most probably stay minimum 2-3 years and see how things go.
It's definitely early (I'm bullish on Próspera, it might become really nice place) and early to say. If things go well, I might stay longer... or simply move on and explore other part of the world. Perhaps only starting a family would stop me somewhere :)
Of course, it's a developing caribbean island with awesome views, divesites and whatnots, but it has its minuses. The unique legal system that Prospera has, and people that it attracts makes it most interesting.
You can take 1h30m ferry to mainland for $30.
Or a 40m flight ($90-$150) to San Pedro Sula or Tegucigalpa.
There are also frequent direct international flights to multiple US cities (Miami, Denver, Houston, Atlanta and more), to Canada, Belize and Guatemala
No, it doesn't.
There is, however, a strong community of 'tech-optimists' from biotech industry (https://infinita.city) living and running business in Próspera. They have their own stablecoin, which works as some kind of shitty loyalty point.
Próspera management (government?) got quite orangepilled in the recent years, holds BTC in their reserves and tries to bitcoinize their jurisdiction even more.
Próspera bought bankrupted result as its first real estate, and yes it's a bit fancy. But we are at the Beta District which is more for plebs, with a new cheap apartments and new constructions going on, in another valley
