I think BTC being used behind the scenes (like LN does in many ways) would change things. If Twitter adopted BTC for tips, and users never move past just holding Sats in wallets I think it could move it past it being too niche. But yes I think you make a good Bear case, do you have a Bull scenario to share?

Yep! Almost learned the hard way... thankfully Twitter and Cory Klippsten from Swan Bitcoin saved me! The risk was never worth the reward.
Great article, these younger generations will not know a world without Bitcoin. And all the bubbles we live through will save them the hard lessons we have learned. Awesome to see the HODL mentality in these kids. Also cool to see that they showed them inflation through the rising price of candy! Great way to teach kids about sound money!
