I tried to think of a few but couldn't.
They all use Monero because using lightning privately is a rube Goldberg machine
- I depleted my lightning spending node and used Zeus' "channel close to alternative btc address" to donate to Zeus
- Tore down the node and spun up a new one opened a new spending channel with a coinjoined UTXO
- Zapped my buddy who runs an amazing LN node I use for payments
- Bought some seedplates for my self custody multisig IRA
- 3-month trial of obscura VPN
- Donated to a freshly orange pilled artist from africa hausofooo@blink.sv
great job, can you share details of how you made it happen? I assume they are running custodial lightning for a start?
Hell yeah preach. I've starting pissing them off by saying "holding isn't using"
There's actually a technical argument to support that statement IMO, since Bitcoin doesn't have censorship resistance without a healthy fee market.
BTC @ 100k with empty mempool tells you all you need to know...
- Bitcoin Ekasi
- shit i can't remember haha!
- VPS not VPN and for privacy reasons I'd prefer not to disclose the merchant :)
- Donated to a grassroots btc movement, 10k sats
- Donated to a taxi driver to welcome them to btc, 2.1k sats
- Renewed a VPS
All over LN
I mean, mempool was empty before ordinals, it just seems like ordinals dried up and we're back where we were 2 years ago anyway.
Bitcoin isn't a payments network, that has moved to stablecoins. Bleak.
Good post & correct - those are not proper KYC free methods.
Cash will become increasingly important. Mark my words.
