How do you keep it updated it, you know day-zero stuff? Are all "normal" software compatible? Not sure what is the primary goal of this thing or just another *nix...
Another words, how is it better say security wise?
It depends where you live. In the US ,1 TB of ssd nvme is about $80. You can stick that into any desktop with 2 vcpu and 16gb ram and you can have yourself a decent node. YOu won't break the bank either. Yeah, initial sync will take few days but after that you home free and you are your own bank. It is pretty cheap entry barrier to be a bank, I reckon. Wireguard, tailscale or cloudflare tunnel gets you online semi-anonymous (kinda).
Or run node on the phone if you don't need full node and history for the last 14 years. YMMV
Now, I wonder when did this start? Social Security number is the first introduction into this web and perhaps our first declaration as taxpayer. Was it not? I would gladly get rid of one since by the time I'm ready to retire (whatever that means) there will be no money left in the system anyway. I just can imagine how "easy" the life would be without one (e.g. get a job, driver license, a passport or god forbid a bank account :-)) </sarcasm> Silly me, and I thought Bitcoin was a "tulip-mania" or "ponzi-scheme" . It was SSA from the day one.
Thanks. That is the most digestible explanation I heard in a long time. I think you are right on the money by saying that this is so deeply perpetuated into business practices that we are consider this "normal" (myself included). I guess I have more learning to do as this topic is an interest of mine.
Again, this is really a legal debate and interpretation. Yours might be correct I'm not arguing that. I didn't see anywhere that "income tax must be an excise" I only saw "The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived". (Income include wages apparently).
Forget the appropriation to the states for a second, all I see that they can tax your wages legally, that's my interpretation and I see everyone around me doing the same so my I guess is I'm doing this right. I also see people being locked up and property being seized for NOT paying it. So, forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical about your interpretation. Let me ask you this: Did you pay your personal taxes for 2023? If not, can you share how did you accomplish this? Asking for a friend :-)
You keep saying that and it might or might not be true. 16th amendment gives the government power to levy income tax. Whether that is legal or not that for constitutional lawyers and supreme court to decide. In the meantime If you or me don't file, you will be chased by "the gov gangs" and spend rest of your life locked up trying to prove your innocence. Unless you are lawyer and have time on your hands you can fight this. For an average Joe this is not a good advice. I hate taxes just like the next guy but reality hits harder then that.... sadly.
when you do that (airplane mode) then no one can call you either. So at the end you will have nice and expensive wi-fi device :-) Just keep that in mind.
I think he might be right. Let's reconvene another Bretton Woods (in the same place I might add, that would be nice) and introduce Bitcoin as an alternative to existing system and let people decide. Then we will know which system is really broken.
</end of dream> :-)
Buy you wont hear this from your doctor. As I age, I listen to my body and what's the best for it. I do research (see Aaron Rogers style) and pick what's best for you based on information you have. F doctors (except emergency rooms of course) for them you are a paying customer not a patient, they don't care about you. So, go ahead smoke a pipe and be happy :-) Pass it to the right....lol
Positive news for a change. Louisiana banned UN, WHO and WEF. We need more staates to follow :-)

Man against the machine? I think that's easy The man will always win, it will a trip but there is no way we lose that battle. We will probably go to post apocalyptic, MadMax8 scenario. We will regress to cave man, no electricity and no AI at the end.
I'm saying if we don't get a good grip on AI now, we will lose it quickly and it wont be pretty. We still do have a chance, it looks rather bleak tho, imho. It will be a major disruptor for sure whether you want it or not. Just like Bitcoin... I think its still good vs evil, rather that man vs machine. Some moron one day will use it for bad things and will ruin for the rest of us, this is where we loos the leash.
What post Bitcoin ETF? You mean in 200 years? At that point who really cares, you wont be around to see it, feel free to speculate. I think we will be split as we are now. Self custody is not for everyone, so there will be your ETF. Those who prefer real ownership will take advantage of it, rightfully so.
I hope you are right. We just need to remember what spirit and consciousness really is, a snowflake, original unique experience and circumstances that lead us to a particular moment in time. That, technically speaking, can be generated at random (well, there no such things as random but for the sake of this conversation let's assume it is random).
AI can also think and calculate 1000 times faster than human and can remember pretty much friggin everything forever. With right programming it can assess the situation and calculate 800 variances of it. Ethics can be thought (read programmed) etc. We have learn a lot of things, AI can too and faster. My personal biggest worry is not about AI, it is at the end of the day a tool. Just like a hammer or a gun. It can be used to build a house or crash skulls. It's the bad people with bad intentions that worry me a little, and we have no shortage of those... sadly...
Definitely an eye opener, the sad part is that there are some services one wants/need to use that require a bank account (e.g. GCP or AWS) they don't take cash or even visa cash give cards. Does your local power company take cash? Car lease payments? Mortgage?
It's the opposite they want you to set everything on "auto pay" for "your convenience" of course. Personally I'm trying to reduce my dependence on banks but its hard... We are in deep $&@^# on this one...
I guess when you stay low to the ground its fine and safe. Another reason to build my bunker...lol
Would like to find that house from the 70's and they had them build solid, build-in container or something crazy like that... that would be fun
I bet ya 1000 satoshis that one day "the bugle" will be the top 5 real news reporting agency. They are almost that Today ! (almost) :-)
The truth is, you can't tell what's real these days.... You thought transgender day was a joke right? yeah, me too...
