Cypherpunks run code.
The problem is that if you speak up publicly for someone they just go without a warrant to your house, take your computer and try to steal your Bitcoin and you may end up in custody. Thus speaking for someone may preclude your ability of running code. At the very least it is like saying: "I am a domestic terrorist. Come and take me."
One can open a 0.01BTC channel but this is not a very efficient way of using LN. For dollar cost averaging it is just better to use a custodian wallet like <stacker.news> but with increasing adoption and recognition of Bitcoin such havens as SN may be soon clamped down on heavily and / or regulated out of existence.
BTC is great for spending. not so much for receiving without a custodian.
Monero maybe a shitcoin but at least it is not a scamcoin like ETH, ADA and what not... And it is a more secure coin than USDT, though not so stable. One has to save in something until they get their 0.16 BTC for opening their first lightning channel.
To edit the keys you need a basic knowledge of Python's dictionaries. Ask ChatGPT this question and then paste the code. You can also ask ChatGPT to rewrite the code so that it is easier for you to use, for example by placing the keys in an external .csv file.
I guess if you're concerned about memory usage, maybe it's valuable. But it isn't like client-side JS where the code is shipped to a client across a network.
Correct. It is about memory. Also using
from
allows for using less repetitive and less error-prone syntax.More on
import
in Python: https://docs.python.org/3/reference/import.html I almost always use it with from
in order to avoid importing too much, in the case of this app to avoid importing HOTP for examplepyotp library is MIT-licensed. I do not create my own keys as I am no a service provider but you can create your own secrets that are compatible with Google authenticator with
pyotp.random_base32()
