I go out of town for a wedding, and of course a summer storm knocks out my electricity at home for a few minutes. My UPS kept my node online, but my Alby Hub got logged off. Again. So, I was zapping cowboy credits for almost 24 hours. I'm happy to say I'm sending and receiving the real thing again.

Wow, Cursor's agent mode is pretty impressive.

I was dragged into the future kicking and screaming because I was annoyed that I was forced to upgrade to this version to continue using the AI features. I simply didn’t use them for a few days until I figured out how to upgrade my Cursor version on NixOS.

I've been making a code graph mcp (for python to start but I know how to make it work for c(++), golang, and have an idea for JS too) to get much more efficient code interaction. Basically making code functionally (and because its a graph, hierarchically) searchable. So your agent can just full text search for a variable, a keyword or a location and get relevant code only rather than grepping and reading entire source files.

Doing this so that you can just use qwen3 for local GPU cycles rather than being extorted per-token.

I found an app to identify birds by their sounds.

It's called Merlin Bird ID by Cornell.

I have the same kind of app, I carry it around all the time, in my head. Since I can locate a singing bird by sound and usually see it, I can associate its songs to the bird. They often times have two or three songs depending upon circumstances.

Yes, those organic neural nets can perform wonders if used properly. One thing though, you have to be in a place with plenty of birds around to train that net. I am not seeing as many birds around nowadays, compared to long ago. Same with bugs and bees.

Now that generative capabilities have improved by leaps and bounds, I realise that we can get ChatGPT to create customised learning resources for our children. Recently, I have been focusing on getting my boy to recognise characters related to birthday parties. So, a brainwave hit me. When don’t I compile a list of birthday collocations in English and Chinese and ask ChatGPT to design a poster for me?

And it worked like a charm!
