Casual reminder that inflation falling doesn’t mean prices are falling
They made a point to note the price of eggs did in fact fall!!!
It was noted that apparel inflation went negative so the prices fell which is surprising given the importation factor

Important note. The price of eggs went up because the government forced ranchers to kill a massive number of their flocks. I suspect that under a critical eye we would find that this was largely an over-reaction. Many such cases...

The price of beef definitely went up in the past couple months. Big bummer since I eat a LOT of beef.

Not sure, but it can’t be helping.
It’s related to a parasite, so it may also be leading to more biosecurity measures in American producers.

But that's not what government inflation readings measure... they measure prices across the economy ie a wide range of consumer goods.

Indeed, but I was replying to a comment about egg prices coming down.
That’s why I’d rather save in sats. Fiat loses purchasing power slowly or quickly — but always down only. 📉
