We’ve got borderless money, AI making art, satellites photographing galaxies…
And yet we’re still dropping bombs like it’s the Middle Ages!
It’s 2025, and we still haven’t figured out how to live without killing each other.
What part of us just refuses to evolve?

As long as there is a demand, a need for revenge or greed;
As long as violence seems preferable to diplomacy and concede;
As long as leaders cling to power, unwilling to compromise;
As long as we fail to see our common hopes and shared plight;
Until we learn to value life above all else,
To embrace our shared humanity, our interconnected fate -
Only then can we end the cycle of violence and create a world of peace, not hate.

Fiat money is an effective and powerful mechanism for pooling the liquid assets of the populace in a contest with competing groups who seek dominance of territory or resources.
Without it, you would appear to be at a disadvantage relative to groups that employ it...

As long as humans are still human, there will always be war.

Immediately you abolish a government people will clamour to form another.
Without government there is little basis for security or prosperity for anyone but the strongest.

Life, DNA and evolution function upon a competitive protocol.
Competition for resources and territory.
Humans have achieved global dominance in this function...over all other life forms.
Working in groups we organize under various ever developing mythologies and rationales which unify and justify our eternal quest for domination of the environment and its resources.
When peaceful competition in the form of trade does not achieve all the resources and territory we seek, military aggression is the logical progression.
Currently USA is defending its dominant position which is the legacy of western imperialism, against China, which seeks the global dominance that its cultural mythology implies should belong to China.
Proxy wars in Ukraine and the Middle East are the result.
China has already achieved dominance in global trade and supply chains while USA still controls legacy strategic protocols and institutions such as banking and financial protocols but China is working on those too.
It is more popular to express intentions of peace, but all of us are affected by the result of these contests for dominance.
If you believe in the competitive logic of capitalism and evolution, a state of eternal peace, with no war, would probably be one of terminal stagnation and decay.
