Is Breez as private as running your own hardware node and connecting to it assuming you aren't triggering the feature where breez pays your lightning invoice when you don't have enough liquidity?

I don't know for certain. Perhaps @roy is around today and can help?

Breez is as private as any other Lightning node. There's no problem with being connected to the Breez LSP because the client does source routing. It also uses Neutrino, so connection to the Bitcoin node is pretty private. You can of course connect to your own node: https://doc.breez.technology/Connecting-a-Bitcoin-node-supporting-BIP-157.html

Yes. Breez is actually a LN node that you manage yourself on your own device.
