Under the weather for a couple of days. Tea, juice, fruit, soup, zinc lozenges, and lots of anti inflammatory spices. Now some much needed sleep.
What are you doing to support your ~HealthAndFitness?
What are good anti inflammatory spices?
Took my daughter and dog for a long walk today. Did some pushups with my son because I didn’t like his form. That’s about it.
Tomorrow we are going to play pickleball.

I never tried pickleball, but it seems to be quite popular these days, at least in our city. My wife had been playing it with her friends from time to time.

It’s fun. I still prefer tennis but it’s easier for kids to play. We played a few times last summer.

We haven’t tried pickleball yet, but we did get some gear for Christmas awhile ago.

Wish you a speedy recovery.
As usual, I went for a run while I waited for my kids during art class. I also got an email promoting early bird pricing for next year's Vancouver Marathon. Without much thought, I clicked on the link and signed up. If everything goes according to plan, 2026 will be my 7th full marathon. Hopefully I'll finally be able to break the 4 hour mark. Still a long way until race day, plenty of time to seriously train in order to reach my goal. But tonight, I pour myself some whiskey first.
Today's stats:
  • 150 push ups (3 sets of 50)
  • 10km run at average pace of 5:12/km
  • cold shower
  • 21416 steps

I’m back to hot showers until the congestion is gone, but then I’ll get back on the cold shower train.

I do warm showers when I'm sick as well. I figure it's probably not a good thing to introduce additional stress to the body when it's already stressed out fighting something off.
