Ummmm actually we are pretty freaking sure cause we dropped this bomb in Afghanistan for shits and giggles years ago and got to see what it would do. This isnt like the first time we have used it this is after we have used it multiple times lol 

Maybe. Maybe not. The public will never really know. 
Even the people in government aren't sure/can't be sure how successful dropping bombs on a side of a mountain will be.
