We said no nukes. They were given 60 days and Israel struck them on day 61. Still today they said they would go to war over stopping the nuclear program. Welp FAFO
USA USA USA
Dude, they aren't the only ones fucking around and finding out. Have you been living under a rock for the entire disastrous War on Terror?
This was an unhinged and completely unnecessary act of war. Only weeks ago, the Trump administration confirmed that Iran was not pursuing nuclear weapons. Just because Bibi gets out his 30 year old diagram of a Wile E. Cayote bomb and claims Iran's "weeks away" for the 50th time doesn't mean anything.
What is this imperialistic garbage where America has the right to tell every nation on Earth that they have 60 days to comply with anything?
reply
Is Trump compromised? Do they have something on him, an Epstein style revelation? I know he was on the island.
He was, previously, strong on "no new wars". I didn't expect this.
I guess my expectations for politicians should never be above zero.
reply
No this is an attack like Reagan did on Iran in the 80s there is no war that follows because Iran literally would fall and crumble. The overwhelming show of force gives them pause in doing anything stupid.
reply
That's far and away the most likely scenario to me. Plus, Elon stated it openly. If it weren't true, the easiest remedy would be to release the documents.
reply
This has no boots on the ground and no regime change calls.... entirely different then Iraq or Afghanistan
Plus ummm even the IAEA has said Iran was violating what they claimed since early 2000s
reply
This just started. Your party had a lot of support because Trump didn't get us into any new wars. That support was just lost, to a great extent.
Americans are sick of this shit and it's not going to end well for your warmongering comrades.
reply
Reagan did the exact same things.... twice.
You understand they have attacked American bases twice in the last week via their proxies in Iraq right? We were able to shot down the drones before hand but Iran was already acting out.
reply
Do you really want to compare the scope of American acts against Iran with their actions against America? You need to stop drinking the Kool Aid
Edit: Also, no one but Republican sycophants give a shit about what Reagan did 40 years ago. We are sick of the wars that people like you keep dragging us into.
reply
Sounds like you are the one drinking the Kool Aid...
Trump is calling for peace and is calling for it right now. Iran will you pick up the phone? No they wont because they want the US to impose its will on Israel which contradicts what you said about playing world police and forcing people to act one way or another. Israel can do its own stuff and so can the US its call independence
reply
Calling for peace after bombing someone. Ok, good luck with that.
Have fun siding with Lindsey Graham and the other lunatics. The people who keep being right about these conflicts will be right again this time. I'm happy to stand by that. @remindme in 1 year. We'll see who was drunk on Kool Aid.
reply
I am sorry but have you no idea on history? Never forget the Beirut bombing and who was the supporters of the Islamic Jihad Organization at the time.

Iran is clearly attempting to build nuclear weapons. There aren't civilian applications for uranium enriched beyond 20%. As it is, Iran has openly admitted to the IAEA that they're enriching to 60%.
reply
Yes, they've been open about enriching uranium for energy and medical purposes. That's not justification for anything.
By my understanding, they were complying with inspections while the Iran Deal was in place and have always been open to resuming those.
Stop falling for every dumb piece of war propaganda.
reply
Neither medical nor energy purposes need 60% enriched uranium. Certainly not 83%
Stop falling for dumb Iranian propaganda.
reply
Naval reactors do use that level of enrichment, unlike nuclear weapons.
reply
The SMRs in subs use roughly 20% enrichment.... far cry from 60% that is a level that is way to high and dangerous
reply
The reference I found said at least 50%, but I'm certainly no expert on this.
Is that number universal or are there models that use higher levels?
Iran doesn't have nuclear powered submarines and isn't building any; it would be perfectly reasonable to ensure they don't get any even if they tried.
reply
Your view of what's reasonable is very different from mine. Mine doesn't involve trying to police the actions of everyone on Earth.
In the end, they are all warmongers.
The US can't live without war.
reply
Iran refused to come to the table. They did not feel like the US would do anything and thought that we would back off. We were not messing around Trump for a decade has said they cannot have a nuke and told them time and time again to stop.
The Supreme Leader is literally terrified hiding in a bunker and not communicating.
reply
Trump also said Obama to be a weak leader because he could not negotiate a resolution. Trump does the bidding of the industrial military complex, like any president before him. Spineless.
reply
Spineless? Spineless would have been like Obama and let the Iranian Regime string you along. All that the Obama negotiation did was kick the can down the road. Now there is no road to kick it down.
This was wildly successful operational security.
reply
Maybe. Maybe not. The public will never really know. Even the people in government aren't sure/can't be sure how successful dropping bombs on a side of a mountain will be.
reply
Ummmm actually we are pretty freaking sure cause we dropped this bomb in Afghanistan for shits and giggles years ago and got to see what it would do. This isnt like the first time we have used it this is after we have used it multiple times lol

Doesn't Congress have to approve acts of war?
reply
Congress has to approve war no acts of war. Obama drone striked countless countries without Congressional approval
reply

And it was unconstitutional when Obama did it as well
reply
Its not a war. This has been settled for decades. The War Powers Resolution mandates that the President must notify Congress within 48 hours of committing armed forces to military action and forbids armed forces from remaining for more than 60 days without congressional authorization.
reply
So, when Iran nukes Israel, its still not a war. Nice to know.
reply
So your admitting Iran built nukes violating not only the agreements they signed with the US but the UN… also that the Iranian leaders are lying? Pretty dumb viewpoint since that makes what Israel legitimate 😂
reply
If Israel gets nuked you can't say they didn't ask for it.
'A sprint toward nuclear arms
It could be days or weeks before the full impact of the US strikes on Iran's nuclear sites is known.
But experts have long warned that even joint US and Israeli strikes would only delay Iran's ability to develop a weapon, not eliminate it. That's because Iran has dispersed its programme across the country to several sites, including hardened, underground facilities.
Iran would likely struggle to repair or reconstitute its nuclear programme while Israeli and US warplanes are circling overhead. But it could still decide to fully end its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency and abandon the the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
North Korea announced its withdrawal from the treaty in 2003 and tested a nuclear weapon three years later, but it had the freedom to develop its programme without punishing airstrikes.
Iran insists its programme is peaceful, though it is the only non-nuclear-armed state to enrich uranium up to 60%, a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90%. US intelligence agencies and the IAEA assess Iran hasn't had an organised military nuclear programme since 2003.
Israel is widely believed to be the only nuclear-armed state in the Middle East but does not acknowledge having such weapons.'
reply
This is the last time I am going to even give you an ounce of credence. You are so much like Darth hell you might even be the same person!
The only news about the scattering of the program from Iran came after the strikes... they also said that the strikes didnt damage the facilities so. Now mind you there were trucks but if you look at the before and after it is clear that a TONNNNN of work was done to try and seal up the entrances. You cant disassemble and move the hardware like it is a printer. At best they moved some of the material however that is unlikely given the lack of radiation readings.
Iran isnt going to NOT have those plans circling overhead for a while. They are either going to surrender and turn over their nuclear program or the bombs will keep happening. Look at Syria if you need a helpful hint. No US boots on the ground but a hell of a lot of bombs.
North Korea was spared for a very easy and understandable reason. Seoul is only 50 km or 31 miles from the DMZ. That means artillery could hit it. The civilian deaths were not worth it.
Why did the IAEA then say they found traces of 83.7% enriched? Iran said it was an "accident" yeah no you dont accidently enrich from 60 to 83.7 without intent.
Congrats one thing correct so I ask you again why would Iran bomb a practically known nuclear power? At best they lob a few bombs and pray they get through and then Israel glasses the entire area.
If Iran gets them the Saudi's and the UAE already have said they immediately would start programs for them and bam a new nuclear race. You lack of geopolitical understanding is clear. This strike was America First because unlike what Thomas Massie likes to think having a nuclear arms race in the Middle East is the dumbest thing in the world and will lead to more war.
Future wars are expected over water.... guess what Iran doesnt have.... water. Same with Pakistan and India. That is a water war plain and simple. Sure they can use religion to cover it up but Pakistan just lost access to a shit ton of water. These things are multiple steps ahead of what you obviously pay attention to.
Look at where Iran gets its water from lmao they are long term cooked.
If Israel gets nuked you can't say they didn't ask for it.
reply
Nuked by who? Are you implying that.... Iran has nukes?!?!
reply
Are you calling Bull on Bibi?
reply
Iran had negotiating power by almost not quite having a nuke. That’s the whole reason for never completing it but you just said Iran was going to nuke Israel so your saying Babi was correct and thus the actions were justified 😂
You are blowing off your leg in this argument I’d suggest stopping now and not trying to make your contradictory views work when they can’t 😂
reply
If Israel gets nuked you can't say they didn't ask for it.
Israel is a rogue state waging genocide upon Gaza.
The US has long enabled Israel to have nukes and is now complicit in their war crimes.
reply
Genocide means you are trying to erase a population.... however Gaza's population has only increased. Learn what words mean before you use them.
reply
They are trying.
reply
If they wanted to it wouldnt be hard you idiot who admitted to Israel having nukes. They are not doing it otherwise they wouldnt use roof knockers and would just shoot everyone which clearly isnt happening Jesus Christ you are the stupidest person I have ever talked to I am literally having brain cells die trying to dumb things down for you and put it in a way your sorry ass can understand.
