Paper wallet are fragile, not easy to use to transfer funds for example. But remember that even if you have any hardware wallet you need to write down your 24 words. So you still need paper wallet. My take on paper wallet : it's the perfect medium for gifting, amount is relatively small ~50$ and it's the only way to give bitcoin when you dont know the recipient address (or when they dont event have)
