As an aside, I am very excited for what LN-URL + Password Manager concept looks like. Being able to sign into stuff AND pay by just scanning a QR code is amazing. I have always found syncing up mobile + desktop logins to be a pain.

Still a "work in progress", though.

Yes, I hope this will become a game changer. Also: more privacy.
If people are reluctant because of spammers, they can just ask for a few sats for "verification" :)

I use self-hosted Bitwarden. That was actually the reason why I decided to use Bitwarden. Selfhosting was very important to me. If something breaks and thus I don't have access to my passwords, I am the only one to blame and the only one to fix. Sovereign individual, haha

thats also kind of how keepass works. its just a file, u lose it, or it gets corrupted and u didnt back it up, u r screwed. thanks for doing this.

Yes, I first tried it. But it was too cumbersome to keep multiple devices synced. With Bitwarden, I can just use their app with my self-hosted instance (vaultwarden)
However, Bitwarden has problems with attachments. They aren't included in exports which I consider to be a huge issue especially if one isn't aware of it. Imagine backing up your passwords but then you realize that your backup isn't complete, lol: https://community.bitwarden.com/t/allow-attachments-to-be-exported-when-using-export-data/835
Fortunately, I got aware of it and switched to storing my SSH keys as notes instead of attachments

Isn't keepassXC suppose to help with syncing multiple devices?
I currently use nordpass and am considering switching but unsure which PWM I should use - torn between bitwarden and keepass

Syncthing really works well for synchronization of .kdbx files across devices. Should work for any version of keepass and its forks as far as I can tell. Consider using the yubikey option as a 2FA to protect yourself if your password gets sniffed/stolen.

Q: Does KeePassXC work on mobile phones? If not, which app would you recommend? A: We don't have our own mobile app, but you can have the same functionality on both Android and iOS! For Android, we recommend KeePassDX and KeePass2Android. And for iOS, we suggest Strongbox and KeePassium.
Not sure if I tried KeePassXC or only KeePass. I only know I had to install some extensions in some weird way to get it sync with cloud storage and that was that.
