If I can earn sats for posting, making comments, and tipping others who make an awesome post; why would I ever get on Reddit again??
Open-source software seems to be what the plebs want. Plus, this is just fun!
I stumbled upon stacker news when googling a bitcoin project and now I feel that it was serendipity...
Just a Friday night thought project. What are some thought projects you plebs are thinking about?
why would I ever get on Reddit again??
Well, Reddit has the network effect.
But it's not a winner takes all situation. Stacker News is already quite useful, and it is growing rapidly. Myself, I still use a combination of sources for becoming informed -- Fediverse (Mastodon), and Twitter, and then SN I added just last month, ... and occasionally (weekly maybe) I'll scan r/Bitcoin (without logging in -- I deleted my account over a year ago).

Yeah, I can see why have diversity in platforms could be important. Great thought!
