What is Transaction level consensus on Shardeum.
Shardeum being One of the first crypto to use transaction level consensus.
unlike the most of the other cryptocurrencies.
What is Block level consensus ?
In the context of blockchain, consensus is a procedure in which the peers of a Blockchain network reach agreement about the present state of the data in the network.
It’s these consensus algorithms that establish reliability and trust in Blockchain systems.
and several transactions are kept inside a block.
Consensus in Bitcoin is of anaverage of 2,200 transactions per block.
For example- Consensus can be defined as the agreement of a group of agents on their common states via local interaction.
BlockChain only stores confirmed or archived trtansaction in packs of block.
Many of you many ask where are the unconfirmed transactions are stored/queued?
it is a Memepool where all the transactions are sorted and stored until being added to an new block.
Blocks are generated by miners.
When thousands of memepools pile up and become a block then mining beings
A quick recap.
What is Mining?
Mining is a method to find a block hash using cryptographic math.
The first miner hands/gives the block to other nodes for verifcation purposes.
Block entries can be/ are widely compared to earlier ledger's entrying to nodes.
so Do blockchain entries last forever?
Decentralized blockchains are immutable, which means that the data entered is irreversible.
Transactions are confirmed when new blocks appear after their block.
This was about a regular common currecny
Shardeum has beeen always unique
Consensus is implied on every transaction.
When Nodes hit the 51% consensus every transaction is processed one by one by indicating
to nodes that specifiled for the transaction on the network handling.
The benefits are that
the consesus is already done at quite early stage that is transaction level which saves
power, resourcres and time .
Who are validators ?
Validators who reeive the transaction for verification then it is proceed to meet a
consensus.
When many transactions will pile up and then are put together then sent to archive nodes
In paralell to that when a transaction is confirmed , it is added to the block.
So, Validator Node requires to take the current state of the blockchain ledger to
verify /validate a transaction.
The archive nodes act as a tracsaction book/record.
Shardeum will have little to no latency.
