I usually grow from seeds, but I saw some plants on sale that already had some fruit so I grabbed him and planted them.
I wasn't going to do tomatoes this year, because the past two years were very disappointing and I was trying to grow peppers from the seeds of peppers we had used for cooking but none of them seem to have sprouted.
Ahh, Well you need to upskill your agri skills!
Seeds of pepper used for cooking are generally crushed and don't sprout, so it's better you get the seeds specific for growing. For tomatoes you can just cut a good quality completely ripen tomato in very small pieces and put them in lose soil with a little natural fertilizer, they'll sprout very fast and give you a good crop. Remember you also gotta save tomatoes and peppers from cold.
