Started off great today:
  • Ate one big beautiful lunch
  • Mowed the lawn and went to the pool
  • Cold shower
Then, starting midafternoon, it was all cookies and hot dogs and lounging around.
Did you manage to finish your days strong, stackers?

I went for a run this morning, a long one, 21km. It was hot and I was sweating a ton. Throat dry, legs sluggish, the run was quite the struggle. I guess I'm out of shape for not running long runs since my marathon back in early May. I believe the furthest I've gone was 18km. The hot weather played a big part in kicking my ass too. The loop I was running was supposed to be a 23km loop, but I only ran 21km, called it quits, and walked the final 2km.
I also went to the local liquor store a couple hours ago and they sold out of many of their cold beer in the fridge. I guess cold beer sells extra well on hot days.
Today's stats:
  • 100 push ups (2 sets of 50)
  • 21km run at average pace of 5:42/km
  • cold shower
  • 31532 steps

I just realized I posted this on the wrong date's post. This should be in Sunday's post but I posted it on Saturday's post. Oh well...

That sounds like a pretty epic bit of training.

More like me getting my ass kicked by the distance and the heat.

Nope I’m in NYC and had a huge celebration dinner!! I completely fell off the wagon.
  • Teriyaki chicken bowl
  • Plant based Reese’s Cup (oat milk based chocolate I was curious)
  • New York style chicken salad bagel
  • fried calamari
  • Lasagna
  • 2 cannolis
  • Chocolate cake
Must of been like a 4,000 calorie day. I still feel super bloated.
Monday will be face the music day for me once I get on the scale

Supposedly, a big cheat day makes cutting calories more effective later because it keeps your metabolism from throttling down.

We grilled the chicken and veggies! They can’t be beat.

Sounds like the perfect balance of productivity and relaxation—love how your day flowed from action to pure comfort! That kind of energy is inspiring. I did my best to finish strong too, but your combo of cookies, hot dogs, and a pool day definitely sets the bar! 😄☀️💪
