There has been a little renewed chatter about lowering the minimum tx relay fee (currently, Bitcoin Core nodes won't relay txs with a rate lower than 1 sat per vbyte. Most recently, I saw @calle post about it on X..
In addition to garnering some criticism from @supertestnet, there was also this post:

Filters work because they make certain tx more expensive, but also filters don't work because they still get mined

Last time I checked bitcoin value goes up forever. So small amounts of sats also go up forever in value.
So why would it be controversial to allow <1000 sat/vb transactions? Perhaps we hit a bitcoin price so high, that it's justified?
