Great question! I hope people will zoom out and see that Bitcoin's properties have been sought after by society throughout history and that Bitcoin is a logical progresion of society to incorporate all those properties into one protocol.

In the book, I give multiple episodes, or vignettes, throughout history showing how each individual property has been yearned or fought over. After doing this for each property, Bitcoin's fit in history's bigger picture becomes more apparent. While I do describe some of Bitcoin's technicals, it's more about "why" the properties are valuable in and of themselves as opposed to the "how".
