I would like a poll where it costs some sats to vote so you don't get spam or brigading.
In a sense, the upvoting is a stripped down version of a poll, so it's already in a sense a feature, I'd just like more ability to survey the Bitcoin community with sats. Also, it would be nice if the sats collected can go somewhere like a charity, or even better if the sats were sent back after the poll closed (staking, basically).
I've been wanting this too. I have a list of post types I want to add in a gh issue: https://github.com/stackernews/stacker.news/issues/9. I'll link to this discussion there.
In terms of voting on the poll, do you know how you want that to work?
One sat per vote, or a configurable amount, or are we measuring sats rather than individual votes?
reply
Ideally, configurable but as a first pass, 1000 sats staked per vote, returned after the vote closes (no more than 7 days), measure just the votes. I would think this would be valuable feedback for anyone that wants to build something on Bitcoin. The main idea would be to get data from Bitcoin enthusiasts.
