I sold my Bitcoin to buy an apartment in Iran. Now I regret it.

Hello friends,
I'm writing from Iran. About 3 years ago, I had 0.6 BTC — it was mostly from my savings and also part of my mother's money. At that time, due to family concerns (like “what if I die? how can my siblings get the money back?”), I sold all my Bitcoin and bought an apartment.
I thought maybe I could earn rent and grow my savings that way. But after three years, I’m deeply disappointed. The apartment gave me negative returns and I feel like I lost not just money, but a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Now I’m ready to change direction. I’ve convinced my mom, and I’ve decided to sell the apartment and go back to Bitcoin — this time to HODL for at least 10 years. I believe in Bitcoin more than ever, and I don’t want to make decisions out of fear anymore.
I'm sharing this here to get some emotional support, and even some financial support if you feel like helping. I live in a poor country, my job isn’t paying much, and any donation would be meaningful. Also, if you're curious about life in Iran or want to talk, I’m happy to answer and connect.

It’s a sad story selling your precious Bitcoin for an apartment you don’t even need.
However, posts like this don’t really work here. No one is going to give you their precious sats just because you live in a poor country. Many of us here are stackers from poor countries too, working low-paying jobs but we don’t beg for sats.
Try to contribute something of value to the forum, and you’ll see just how generous other stackers can be.

They are in rial currency , I have to exchange it to dollar so you can understand , but If I had hodl that three years I could have 5 of those apartments at least

We'd all love to read about Iran. Especially if you have honest personal stories about how people are using bitcoin there.
PS asking for donations here usually has the opposite effect of what's intended. you had a nice post up until the point where you asked for money.

About Iran , there are really big exchanges here , one of the biggest one is nobitex, and some of my money was held in there before it got hacked During the 12 days war it got hacked and 100 millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin and other assets were transferred into a trash address to destroy people's money You can search about it by searching nobitex hack , and I got my Bitcoin back after about a week , I'd be happy to explain more , and talk more about Iran , I was just searching for some positivity , I'm sorry for asking money

I actually found an exchange that accepts lightning , it was so surprising for me, I signed up there today

They gave all money back , that was so surprising for me to get my money back , because the rules in Iran are not against Bitcoin , but exchanges aren't supported very well and they have stupid rules to convince the government to let them run the exchange
We have power outage allot of times I think it's because government is mining Bitcoin

People have done well out of property in the last few decades but now there is a new king in town as you are finding out. All the best and no need to sell the BTC you own in 10 years.
