If any stackers are in the NYC metropolitan area this weekend, make your way out to the Tap Room in Ronkonkoma, Long Island for a bitcoin meet up tonight:

Things are scheduled to get started at 7:00pm.
Ronkonkoma is a native american name meaning "south of the big mall." (Old dumb Long Island joke)
Seriously, Ronkonkoma really was a special place for the Algonquians. Read about the crazy legend that still scares Long Islanders away from swimming in Lake Ronkonkoma:

I passed through ronkonkoma earlier this summer. The burger joint there box car burgers was pretty good.
I will have to check that place out. I'm always looking for a good burger.
The Tap Room was right near Box Car Burgers. I had not been to Ronkonkoma for a while and didn't realize they had built up that area into one of those modern mixed use walkable neighborhoods near the train station. I still remember the days when that was a scary place at night.
That part of the village seems like a great place for a big meetup. It's right near the LIRR train station, which is a major hub if anyone wants to venture out from the city without access to a car.
It was an interesting meeting, but I didn't learn much new from it...
And by "new things" I mean something that can be profited from (e.g. news that can affect prices, etc.)
