It's usually best to start with what you think is missing. You'll be your first customer and "interview" yourself about what's needed.
There are tons of product gaps and unsolved problems in bitcoin because few people are building on bitcoin.
Another way to find product gaps is to get a job somewhere and look for internal tools they're missing or having to build to because some product doesn't exist yet. Kind of related, but starting an bitcoin development agency could also be a source of ideas.
Something I'd build if I had the time for it is an LND/CLN/bitcoind TUI - but that's not a business (at least in an obvious way ... it could help you find "gaps" though).
Oh, and we don't have a trivial way to self-host (on start9/umbrel) e-commerce stores: #920555

This is one of the end-goals of Lightning.Pub, and why we put Nostr-based "offers" (and webhook triggers for them) on the node side.
The problem with self-hosted stuff like Start9/Umbrel is that providing SSL/Clearnet access for the normal consumer requires a somewhat complex network config, particularly when on a residential connection.
This means the store-front side is probably best living on a traditional commodity web-host externally, while the business logic (lightning node) remains self-hosted.
Nostr solves the networking problem by just pasting an nprofile into the store front, Lightning.Pub then solves the callback-on-payment-confirmation to the ecommerce fulfillment flow.
Too much to do... we're happy to hold anyones hand that wants to take a shot at an ecommerce interface backed by a Lightning.Pub

most recently i messaged https://x.com/jamesob, and he mentioned to get good at Bitcoin script, i assumed it may be similar to C++ (maybe erroneously) or at least understanding computer science more in academia might help me be more prolific to help in that very niche but needed area still i suppose,
Personally other than that, connecting bitaxes wherever possible and IT consulting does seem like a good path, but im looking into possibilities on anything else too (like i mocked up a product where it's like a memory note taker that when you presses keeps a note of a time with a taproot asset and a block height, but seems more novelty than viable business), great advice...
Freelance system sounds cool for sure! Sounds like this project, happy to work with anyone to focus on hacking away at ln402 or API/streaming payment endpoints (seems like a very elusive target!):

I doubt you will find two guys with more ideas coupled with the tech chops than @k00b and @justin_shocknet. You came to the right place for advice.
