Probably a controversial opinion to have because many people here are growth maxis, but:
I think that quantities (of posts/MAU/sats) aren't necessarily a good metric for SN success unless the goal is to take over the world. Instead, I'd pose a more generic question: do you get from SN what you want, and if you don't, what's missing?
SN is currently a high-quality niche platform, and not normiespace like Reddit or X, which both have become enshittified through MAU-targeting. If you have a wish for higher quantities of specific content, you can play a role in getting that content discussed on SN, by sharing it, by making it visible, and so on 1.
Let's not death stare on statistics. Mainstream sucks; if it didn't, you probably wouldn't be here.

  1. For example, I revived ~AI because the AI posts got lost across related territories. This was an action I could take to improve on my own and without anyone's permission. @billytheked started a territory last month too, to have a spot for the writers among stackers (and to develop more writing stackers.)
Love this perspective. Your nym is well deserved!
