They are, with owner and family very much. Strangers can't buy their trust if not introduced by the owner. They are used in mountains in tandem with smaller sheperd dogs, their job is to protect from volves and bears, while the smaller runs around the animals.

It feels good to have someone else taking some of the burden off!
