I use X for a long, long time, but that place is filthy and I'm feeling guilty about using it.
I'm thinking about changing it to NOSTR, but is it worth it? Last time I tried it was empty and full of posts no one engaged with... What is your favorite part of NOSTR and how do you use it?

I love SN, I always come back here, I like the community that we have and I felt welcome when I started posting. I'm just a chronic online person who loves social media and I know Nostr was a big thing some time ago

I agree with @Scoresby and @siggy47. I find far more value on SN. That said, SN is a website. Twitter is a web site. Nostr is a protocol and in a different league. I do find value in it but it has far more potential than it has achieved to date.

@Scoresby is right. Stacker News is a much better experience, but I think nostr has improved recently. Either that or I'm finally getting the hang of it.

Nostr is much better now than it was in 2023. Mainstream relays can effectively filter and handle spam. However, the number of active users is still not large enough, and many previously active users have left. Most of those who left were influencers with their own followings who chased popularity; since they couldn't gain benefits on Nostr, they naturally left.
Only with more participation can the Nostr community be better developed.
Primal will be a good client both in android and iOS.You can find many trending posts through the "Trending" section.

NOSTR’s best part you own your identity and posts no algorithm, no gatekeeper. Engagement’s low until you plug into the right circles, then it clicks.

What you need is a good Nostr client and a well-curated follow list. Finding a good follow list can be very time-consuming, but once you've got it, enjoy!

SN is much better imo, because on nostr you have to basically be a known bitcoiner or something to even get any engagment.
you can cross-post there from here tho and i do check nostr every now and then just to see if there's anything interesting going on
