I try to keep all my whole digital life ad-less, it's a bit of a pain, but it's worth it.
Google is probably the hardest to get totally get rid of, but you can start with grapheneos which is Android without Google, and then add open source software for whatever you use.
For desktop you can of course just run Linux or BSD and you'll be golden.
Same here, they are terrible for privacy and security. Always been a fan of Gorhill and uBlock Origin. I run a minimalist Alpine Linux for my desktop with a pi-hole running on the network.
